Blending in to stand out

Good morning world! How’s your week going so far? It’s only Tuesday, I know, but it feels a little like a Thursday…no? I don’t have much to share with you this morning, other than the fact that today’s picture is still a WIP. And I don’t mean that I’m going to continue editing it and re-post it. I mean that I was working on it using different methods than I usually do, I didn’t have anything specific in mind and I didn’t know where or when to stop. I did stop when I felt that it was edited enough. And between you and me, I don’t really love it but then again, that’s the case with pretty much most of the pictures I post. Besides, you have to try out new methods, no?

Anyways, it features a couple of new stuff from current round of Collabor88 along with the new backdrop Chris Morrisey recently released. You can’t really see it in this shot so stay tuned for a future post. In the meantime you can have a better look at it by clicking on the credits below.

Somewhere out in the Hamptons

Good morning world. Everyone had a nice weekend? I did, even though it didn’t really feel as a weekend. Performances are over and were done successfully which was my main goal. Make it through them alive and proud. Both accomplished. I have yet to set a new goal for the next few days. I know the goal of posting “every other day” failed tragically.

Psychologists will often tell you that, you need to set realistic goals and ones you can achieve, so you can boost your confidence and be encouraged to try harder every time. I never learned how to do that. I keep setting the bar high and challenging myself more and more. It’s why I drive myself crazy in the end and never blame me but the universe!

Blogging wise for example, I see the work of so many talented bloggers and photographers and think, why can’t you make a picture like that Exis? Why aren’t you that talented as well? And I will push myself, as hard as I can. I always forget that there are other factors involved. Talent is one for sure, but then again it’s, years of experience, it’s time to work on your pictures and it’s of course, the basics. Your computer!

I guess the bottom line of this whole ramble would have to be, give yourself a break. Don’t make the same mistake I make and wear yourselves out. Be true to yourselves, enjoy the process and don’t forget what the point is. You’re supposed to blog because you love blogging. If you blog for the fame or the money (you’ll think you’ll get), then I can’t help you. I’m obviously doing it differently.

Beyond the blue

Week is almost over – hang in there! Yes, I’m talking to myself but if it works on you too, even better. I have been talking a lot to myself lately, not sure if that is something I should worry about or not, but, you know, when you’re thinking of too many things at the same time and sometimes, out loud? A person actually noticed at work yesterday and told me. I had to pretend I was actually talking to her and that I’m not crazy. I think I didn’t convince her.

We’re only 10 days away from Easter which means two things. 1. Time off work 2. Lots of food. Greeks are very committed to their Easter celebrations and I’m not going to argue, especially if there’s food involved. I will try not to tease much and plurk images of the upcoming dishes, but I can’t promise I won’t, either.

In other news, as you can tell, my rambling is, like always, totally irrelevant and doesn’t make sense, but I figured the 10 persons that read my blog posts, won’t mind, he he…

ADDAMS

Today’s post features the newest release of Addams. It’s a mainstore addition – one of the things I love about blogging for Addams actually – it’s nice not to worry about an event deadline for a change and it’s basically 3 things which can be worn all at once. A swimsuit, super sexy, like Addams knows how to make them, a tank top dress, available in transparent or not, versions and sandals (with optional chains and pearls). In every color you can imagine too. So since Summer is coming, maybe it’s time to consider shopping for your beachy excursions.

This is another collab with my friend Clary. We have been friends for a few months now and this is the second picture we make together. She’s a really cool lady, which calms me down as I’m usually tense and stressed all the time. I asked her to be classy and sexy for this photo shoot which was really not necessary – it comes out of her naturally.

For this picture I used Besom’s hair from N21 event. Rebel Gal’s dress and coat that can be found at Uber and Nanika’s tattoo for Sanarae. Glasses are from Zoom and poses are from Del May.

Autumn is real. I live in Athens, Greece, where we don’t get much cold or bad weather in general, but lately it’s been quite chilly and moody. Had rains the previous week and a coat or light jacket is definitely needed. I love this weather change. Was about time. I really enjoy the summer but I’ve mentioned before how it is impossible to do any work or focus on anything other than vacation when it’s hot outside. So yay, the cold is finally here. Jules, who lives in the UK will probably smack me when she reads this, but hey, try to understand, hehe. I wanted to make a picture with a more season’s change-Autumn style and I’m happy I was finally given the opportunity to do so.

Evolove boutique’s newest release for the new round of Tres Chic is perfect for this idea. The textures are beautiful and the whole outfit made me think of cold European countries right away. Paris, London, Berlin, you name it, I could totally picture myself there whilst wearing it. The outfit is available in seven colors for Maitreya and Slink mesh bodies. I chose to go with brown, embracing the Autumn vibe. Glasses from ZOOM and bag from Rowne completed the look perfectly. Hair is one of the newest releases from Lelutka that I mentioned on my previous blog post. You can read all the information about it there.

Yes, the blog changed, again! I’m sorry but I have to use my mood swings in a creative way. Jules is probably going crazy with the constant changes but at least she’s being a good sport about it. He he. I love this new look. It’s not completely ready yet, but you can get the general idea. All feeds, blogs we follow, stats and counts will be under new pages, next to sponsors and about-us tabs very soon, but for now you can explore and see what this new layout has to offer. Also let me know what you think about it in the comments.

This post features an outfit from Me Sew Sexy, for the new round of On9. Very interesting one, available for Maitreya mesh body only and shorts, blazer and harness can be worn separately. Skin is a new release from L’etre for Fiore heads. If you haven’t heard by now, L’etre also released new mesh body appliers version 4. Make sure you check them out as well. Hair is new from little bones for Collabor88 September round and it’s animated. That means it comes with a hud that allows you to choose whether you want the hair to be tucked behind left or right ear, or even both, or not at all. Pretty cool. Last but not least, the shades are from ZOOM for Limit8 event. There were 147 available this morning that I checked but if they have sold out by the time you’re reading this, no worries, check out their mainstore and you won’t be disappointed.
