It’s been super cold in Athens for the last couple of days which is rather unusual but very appropriate. Christmas is near! Speaking of Christmas, today’s post offers an alternative way of spending it, which is a bit lonely and not recommended but it is also the only option for several people.
The items featured can’t be found at the current round of the Arcade which is now open and it’s the biggest round ever. Take a look at the Arcade information and at the credits below and good luck gacha-ing!
I can’t believe another weekend has come and gone, or that we are two thirds through the year already, life is flying past so quick this year, but then maybe it is because the days are filled not only with Real Life but with Second Life, the blog, photography and shopping.
This past weekend was this months Midnight Madness which is ALWAYS exciting, not because it’s a freebie although this is very much appreciated from the many designers who take part but more so its “Exclusive” items which I am sure I am not alone in loving.
When Exis sent me the Dead Dollz post for her Midnight Madness outfit I was super excited. She is in my list of favourite designers and well I just have to have all or almost all of her items because they are always so cute, sexy, different and affordable not to mention amazing quality too. This outfit however to those who know me is totally me lol so yes it became an “Obsession or is it Passion” hence the title of todays blog to have it, I love it, It’s so cute, sassy and ME lol.
So my obsession involved getting up way to early on a Saturday morning so I could be one of the lucky ones to get the pants, then again later that day to get the top, unfortunately SL being so unpredictable did not deliver even though I managed to accept the item to my inventory, I had the Hud you could purchase to change prints and colours but no t-shirt, very disappointed is an understatement lol so again I endeavoured to get it next day last chance but that wasn’t gonna happen either. Needless to say a notecard with a essay (again my apologies lol) of how, why etc to the wonderful designer Kiddo and it was sorted for me…..I have to compliment her not only on her amazing designs but on her wonderful customer service too.
So today I show case my perfectly wonderful new outfit that I love so much, is obsession a bad thing? In some cases yes it totally is, in this case maybe it’s a case of passion not obsession and that in my book can be a very good thing.
“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are…”
This project was obviously inspired by JAPS pose named “We need to talk”. Everyone knows that when you hear that phrase, something’s wrong.
Now I’m not sure if I succeeded in this one, as seeing it now, I can’t tell for sure if I’m breaking up with Brad or he is with me.
By the way, you remember the wonderful Brad, right? I’m sorry ladies, I’m hiding his handsome face but you can have a clear look at him here.
So, I’d like to dedicate this to all heartbroken sweethearts out there and my message to them would be: everything happens for a reason and sometimes I takes a while but happiness does come. So pick yourselves up from the floor, wipe your eyes and open them wide as your other half might be standing right in front of you.
“I haven’t been so excited about Friday since last Friday”
TGIF everyone! And finally, the Indie Teepee festival is now open. If you haven’t heard about it before, you can read all about it here. You will find everything in the sim. Music, Theater, Stores, so whatever you’re after I’m sure you’ll have a great time. Make sure you check the goodies of FLF first and then go have a look. Collabor88 just opened as well so it’s going to be a very busy and expensive day! Ha!
Hope your weekend was good and the brand new week ahead even better!
I had made this picture with the incredible Curtis Trevellion a few days ago, but I was waiting for the right time to post it. No specific reason, but you know how sometimes you post pictures on Flickr and think, “hmm maybe I should have posted this later on”, worrying about the traffic on the time it’s going to be posted etc. But I couldn’t keep it in my folders any longer.
Pose featured is from JAPS, called Never Let Go and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to do this with Curtis. He’s one very handsome fella (apart from amazing photographer, you should check out his flickrif you still haven’t) and for some reason, he was the perfect model for this particular pose. Safe to say he’s a patient man as well as I had him waiting and waiting for hours until I was ready to shoot this. No wonder he’s been avoiding me ever since! Ha ha.
There are many ways to showcase this pose I guess, but with Curtis behind me and this messed up bedroom for a scene, I had to make it sexy again.
So thank you JAPS for the pose and thank you Curtis for your wonderful assistance.
“Better days are coming. They’re called Saturday and Sunday”
Good morning everybody!
Jules and I are always excited when Friday arrives! SL-wise it’s FLF time and, if it’s the first Friday of the month, MM time. But in general, who doesn’t feel slightly better on Fridays? You know that the weekend is just around the corner, that the long, stressful week you’ve had is finally coming to an end and you’re anxious for a new week that is going to start soon.
No big plans for the weekend (yet) but I don’t mind staying in and just resting for two days. It’s the first day of the month though, so I doubt that will happen. New month means new rounds of events. New events are even in the making. Pose lover and friends event will open this month and I’m looking forward to blogging for it.
Meantime, Kosmetik released this lipstick and I just had to share it with you. If you still haven’t visited the store, I think this weekend is the right time to do it.
I need to tell you about my recent experience with Flickr safety filters. For those who don’t know, Flickr filters all posts in order to make it a safe environment for everyone. Makes perfect sense. Now, what is considered safe, moderate or restricted, is up to everyone’s tastes, likes and behavior I guess.
I recently posted a picture I was in lingerie, nothing explicit shown, only an image you might as well see in a fashion magazine or even on TV. Someone apparently reported it as unsafe (I’m sorry that my bare arm offended you) and that resulted into my whole stream changing to moderate by flickr staff.
At first I thought, ok, even better in case I forget to change my safety options in the future. Then, I realized that, every picture I had spent hours posting on flickr, adding to groups and all of my work basically, had been removed from the groups that don’t allow moderate images.
I believe you can guess my frustration. I didn’t cry, but I was about to. Did I get a warning before that happened? No. Flickr staff did contact my right away, asking me to change my safety levels for certain images, which I did and everything is back to normal now, but oh my gosh, that surely stressed me out and would have saved me so much trouble if I had been given a heads up first.
Anyways, I would like to dedicate this fully clothed, sad picture to the person(s) I might have offended. Please know I’m not doing porn, it’s not who I am. If I look too sexy in some images, thank you, but that is probably the pose and the feeling I get out of it. If it insulted your taste, I apologize, but next time, let me know about it and I’ll fix it for you.
Thank you Slack Girl for these beautiful tears (what an oxymoron phrase!).
