Yes, clothes are off again! Don’t blame me, blame the super amazing Evolove, that created the Moaning series poses for the new round of Expose event. Now can you imagine yourselves posing in them fully clothed? I’m just surprised I did put something on. I’m also glad my parents don’t read my blog. Ha ha.
I enjoy sexy photography in general. Erotica and artistic nudity always catch my attention. The human body is beautifully made and one could do wonders with it. Which is why I’m always impressed by the diverse and unique poses Evolove brings. The Expose event is now open and will stay open until the 27th of October.
Hair is from Alice Project, a previous FLF release. All arm/hands accessories are from Muka, apart from the rings that were also a FLF release from Plastik. The collar is new release from Tabou, which can be found at the new round of Kinky Event and the sexy corset is from CerberusXing (CX) and can be found at Whore Couture which is about to close doors.
That would be all for now lovely readers. Have a beautiful weekend and be kind to one another.
I’ve always been scared of motorcycles. No particular reason, I’ve never driven nor have I ever had an accident with one. I happen to find bikers generally sexy, male or female, but when I try to imagine me on a motorcycle, I get goosebumps. The idea of being on two wheels, going fast and the possibility of falling down any minute, scares me to the core. Surprisingly I’m not afraid of bicycles so I would only have to assume it is a speed issue.
Jose had the great idea of posing by a motorcycle for his blog post and I figured, perfect, I’ll photobomb him! Surprisingly and interestingly enough, I could have posed on the motorcycle but subconsciously I chose not to. Hehe. My main interest on this post was to show the pose first instead of the apparel. I recently had a conversation with my friend Curtis Trevellion about eTc Poses, the poses store he and his partner Envy Watts, have up and running. I have to admit that with everything going on in my life lately, I haven’t had the chance to stop by and have a look at their work yet, but it’s something I’m planning to do the next days. You will find the link to their store in my credits below. He was kind enough to send me this pose as a gift though so I figured, I should make something with it.
The Annex’ newest release for Suicide Dollz was the perfect fit for the whole styling. It’s shorts and tank tops available for Belleza, Slink and Maitreya, in many colors too. Hair from Analog Dog which I love and the jacket from the Azuchi and Vinyl collaboration from an old Uber round but now should be available in both in-world stores. You can have a look at what Jose is wearing here. Thank you hun for letting me ruin your picture!
That’s all for now. TGIF, hugs for you all and remember to be kind to one another.
This is probably my first blog post that has nothing to do with any recent or current releases. But there’s nothing wrong with that, right?
My friend Cameronand I had taken this pic a long long time ago but for some reason I never posted it. I had edited and saved in drafts folder so as soon as I saw it, I figured it needs to get viral. Hehe.
oOo Studio had just released this pose for FLF and I knew I had to get it. A. It has to do with dance which is my second nature and B. it’s simply beautiful.
Poses play a very important role in photography, if not the most important one. Whether it is RL or SL photography, the pose has to be there and it has to be specific. The pose will usually be determined by the outfit you have on and the theme or concept of the picture you have in mind or vice versa. It will definitely inspire you and it will help you figure out what you’re going to do with the picture.
Couple poses have always intrigued me more than single ones. They are definitely harder to work with, so that to me, sounds like a challenge. I can never say no to a challenge, which is why I always end up disappointed in the end. Ha ha. But hey, at least I’m having so much fun, so, you know what they say. It’s the journey that matters, not the destination! So here’s why I think couple/friends poses are usually harder to blog.
First of all, since the designers create the poses in a certain way, using, probably their own avatar size and shape, there is always a chance of the pose not working well for you. In this case, do not panic! You can always edit the pose (by right clicking on it) and unlink it. This way you can adjust the poses individually, move them up or down, back or forth. There are also huds like Animareor Anyposethat allow you to move parts of your body, in case your hand ends up in your hair or dress or even worse, inside your picture partner’s back for example. Be careful though! If you’re supposed to blog the pose, you can’t change it. Yes you can remove your fingers from your hair, but you can’t move your hand down for example. The creators needs to recognize their work and people need to know what they’re buying.
Second of all, couple or friends poses, require more than one avatars, obviously. In this case you can either use an alt or, in my case, models. Since for me personally, one account is already too much to handle, I’d rather work with Jules in case I have to make a females pose or male models for couple ones. Besides, how or why would I ever miss the opportunity of a) bugging and upsetting Jules with my OCD and need-to-be-perfect behavior and b) hugging a shirtless guy for like an hour and instead use a, most likely, bad-looking male alt that I would have created? He he.
Jokes aside, working with models, from my experience, has been a great lesson. They have been inspiring, helpful and they have taught me things I didn’t know before. For that reason only, I’m always looking forward to working with them. Besides, it’s always interesting to see, what kind of picture they would take and how they would, probably, do it differently.
Last but not least, styling is a factor. You probably know what you want to wear or what you want to look like in the picture, but, your picture partner, has to match it. For example, if you’re in a gown, all fancy and posh, you probably don’t want your partner to wear jeans. Nothing wrong with jeans, but they will, in my opinion, create a contrast and inconsistency between your style and theirs. So it is challenging, for the models mostly, to find something to wear that would meet your requirements for the picture. In this case, I’d say, gift them what you want them to wear. They’re helping you out so, least you can do is buy them a pair of pants…! Who knows, maybe you’re going to need them again in the future and your particular gift would come in handy then as well.
So, in this post today, I had the pleasure to work with Kael(I could hug him, shirtless or not, for hours and days, he’s adorable) and also with a very beautiful pose created by Drunk Panda. You can find this one and many many others, in this month’s round of Pose Lover & Friends Event.
Yes! It is true. I just posted my first restricted picture. Who would have known?! I mean, I knew I would eventually, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon! For those of you that are not on Flickr, restricted image, means, a picture that is filtered, so people who have set their content filter settings there as safe and non-moderate or non-restricted, they wouldn’t see it. Oh well, their loss.
This lingerie is from Erratic for the new round of Collabor88. The event is epic, it’s a birthday round and there are even more designers participating as guests. I can never resist to Erratic lingerie, or any lingerie, no matter the price or the level of naughtiness they bring. This particular design is definitely unique as you have pearls instead of straps or strings. And you have them, pearls, everywhere. And I mean, everywhere! Ha ha.
Once you make it in Collabor88, make sure you check out the new release of Genesis Lab too. Her name is Adeline and she’s gorgeous!
Am I at the beach? Nope…Not really at least. Virtually I’m SO there.
I’m hoping this will be a quiet weekend. I’ve been working so hard the past few months, so now I feel exhaustion all over my body and mind. Today will also be the day I will know if I leave for vacation or not. I know it’s something I’ve been looking forward to, and need, big time, but it’s not entirely up to me unfortunately.
Anyways, last night, I read Kess’ poston SL Blogger Support blog and I really liked it. I could totally relate to everything she wrote. I believe every blogger/blogger manager and designer/sponsor should read it. It’s something I’ve been thinking a lot about writing recently, but I blame my poor english! I’m so glad someone more fluent in it, did it and did it well.
Only thing I would like to add to all that is, the lack of support from designers to their bloggers. Kessis right, designers don’t spend time to meet their bloggers, which is understandable considering all the time they spend on designing and promoting, but the way I see it, if you choose your blogger team, you’re proud of it and you trust in it to make a good job and showcase your products well, least you can do is promote your bloggers work as well. Most of the designers, have websites. Whether it’s flickr, or just a simple blog, I would expect all of them to have a section there, with their blogger team, their info, flickr pages and blogs. That way you get mutual support from both sides and would start to feel more like a collaboration than just work or advertising.
I have so so much to add to this whole story as well, and hopefully I’ll make a post about it soon. For now I believe Kess said it all. I’m a new blogger so I haven’t had tons of experience yet, but for the few months I’ve been doing it, I can tell for sure that blogging can be a fun thing to do, when you have a cool designer sponsoring you, trusting you and looking forward to seeing what you come up with, without telling you what to do all the time or it can be a huge chore, where the pictures are biased, the quality is bad and the result is just another vendor image. I think both cases are legit, it all comes down to what you like and you’re on board with. We know what we’re getting ourselves into. We can’t expect designers to ask for less, only thing we can do is stop and let someone else do it if we realize we can’t.
The Makeover Room’s Shopping Guide is updated and as promised you can now have a look at it here. I often find myself being too lazy or thinking about the lag too much, so I stay in my cute little dressing room and check the events via their websites. Most of them are very detailed so it feels like you’ve been to the actual event. Also, there is Seraphim, which of course makes window-shopping easier. But, it’s definitely not the same. Unless you go to the sim, you can’t actually try demos, plus sometimes, you miss out on some really lovely layouts and sims. TMR has one, in my opinion at least, so I’m glad I visited.
Have you gone to Uber yet? Opened on Monday and, as always, never disappoints. I am probably sick or something, since I have stopped shopping like a maniac (Jules is impressed) but I did grab the new releases from Spirit, Elua and Fri.day. Now the Spirit release, for some reason, reminded me of the Jay Z ft. Rihanna video, Run this Town…and I’ve been singing it ever since. Lol.
“Her freckles were delectable. Most fellows didn’t care for freckles as a rule, thinking they were tough-looking. But Betty’s were appealing. Like cake batter you could wipe off with your thumb, buttery and sweet.”
