Good morning people! I’m back, but not really! I mean, I am back from vacation – unfortunately – but I’m not quite ready to resume blogging. You could say I’m still on vacation mode and my mind is sitting somewhere on a beach.
However, while I was away, the latest issue of Gallant Magazine was released and since I’m a proud member of it, I worked on a few images. This time, I had the privilege to work with iBi, the creator and owner of 8f8 and showcase a few of his masterpieces. Since I have no credits for you, I’ll provide the name of the sets I used in each picture, right underneath them, in case you’re looking for some items and can’t find them.
If you haven’t read the magazine and the article yet, please do so, it’s definitely worth it. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the beautiful gifts for the members of Gallant Magazine, courtesy of some of SL’s most talented designers! Dust Bunny is one of them and the gift is amazing, you don’t want to miss it!
Good morning peeps! Hope everyone’s having a wonderful weekend so far!
Today, I’m showing you the 3rd picture featured in the Spring issue of Gallant magazine – there’s still 2 more to come, which I guess you have seen already – and it’s one of my favorite scenes so far. There’s something about all this…Green that pleasures my eyes!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about click here to find out and if you do know what I’m saying but want to see all the items used in the picture, click on that as well.
For the next few days I’ll be showing you the pictures I made recently for the current issue of the Gallant Magazine. I’ve been a working with Gallant for 2 years now and I have to say it’s a very cool and fun environment to work in. Everyone is very supportive of each other and the end result shows just how hard we all worked.
“Gallant Magazine is welcoming the arrival of Spring with its 2-year anniversary issue! This issue we spotlight Men’s Fashion aficionado Invincible Anton and his store Ascend, along with renown Home & Garden creator Aris, who brings a number of interior design staples to the grid with her delightful store Ariskea. This issue offers over 300 pages of the most talented designers, photographers, models and bloggers Second Life has to offer! Dive in and see why Gallant Magazine has become the definitive journal for Men’s Fashion and Home & Garden delivering a visual experience to the grid! Thank you for all of your support during or our first two years and we look forward to many more!”
My assignment was “Plant shops – All natural” so you will see that I didn’t hold back. I think I’ve used almost every plant I have in my inventory!
Please take a look at the magazine here to see my credits and show some love to each and every one of us.
The Spring issue of Gallant Magazine has been released and I had the pleasure to be part of it. It’s not the first time I’m working with Divos and his talented team of photographers and stylists though. In case you’ve missed the previous, Winter issue, you can take a look here.
But, it’s Spring season and the gardens are blooming! My assignment this time was “English Gardens” which was a challenge. I’ve been to the UK many times but gardens and especially English ones, are not something I’m very familiar with. Luckily, SL creations have everything covered so inspiration was definitely not something I was lacking of.
Good morning world! Back to work again today so I’m grumpy. It is Wednesday though and that makes me feel a lot better.
I had mentioned in one of my previous posts that I had been working on a project for the Holiday Issue of the Gallant Magazine. The magazine is released so now I can share it all with you. Well, not all, I only picked some of the pictures.
Mostly because some of the stuff in the pictures are still currently at events but also because the whole point is to read the magazine!
So, my project was to create a winter lodge. Divos provided some boards for me from pinterest with pictures that would inspire and motivate me. He also had the build ready. And a pretty big one!
At this point, I want to mention that this has been the very first time I worked on something that huge and demanding. The fact that Divos trusted me with this project, showed me faith and support meant a great deal. I felt that I had to do a great job and not let him down. But, working more than full time and taking on a project like this, can be challenging.
I had to sleep for only 3-4 hours every night in order to finish the decorations and as soon as that part was over, take the pictures. And you know I’m weird right? I changed the bedroom decoration twice and the bathroom’s and kitchen’s thrice. Yes. And I still don’t like them 100%!
I’m not saying all these to complain. Not at all. I knew what I was getting myself into. It was a stressful experience but which activity that involves a deadline, isn’t? I think the satisfaction I’ve gotten after everything was ready and all the nice and kind comments I received from many of you are worth it more. Plus, it’s one more experience. It helped me become more resourceful, creative and grow as a blogger.
Most of the items used in the pictures are fairly new or still currently at events, the Arcade and Fameshed.
Featured designers are Apple Fall, Hive, Dust Bunny, 22769, Soy, Consignment, Trompe Loeil and many more. Both the mentioned events are about to end soon though so you don’t have time all the time in the world. I would suggest visiting page 267 of the magazine for all the detailed credits. They took me a while to write down so you kind of have to read them.
The whole build is at the Gallant Estates sim which is now open to the public and will remain open until the 2nd of January. I would like to encourage you all to visit and see the works of other fellow bloggers and decorators there, take your pictures and tell me your opinion on everything, by leaving a comment below. I will include all the important SLUrls and links at the end of this post.
Last but not least, I want to thank Divos for his tremendous support and encouragement all this time. He’s a wonderful person and I’m lucky enough to call him a friend now. He’s pretty hot too! Big thanks to Julie and Alexa also, for offering me an ear to complain to and a providing me with a hug when I needed one. And big thanks to all of you for reading and supporting me for so long. I appreciate it a lot!
