[…]Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the Fall[…]
It’s been a while since I last used a quote as a title, right? And I think this will be the case again as I’m still (and will always be) struggling with naming my posts. Unless there’s a super obvious or clear meaning in the picture! I’m embracing the Fall today with this image, since the weather in Athens has finally changed.
The head I’m wearing is the latest gacha release from Black Bantam and currently at the Arcade. It’s an editorial head, which means it won’t work as any other regular mesh head. It was designed to take pictures with it.
Wearing it and adjusting it to your body/shape can be a bit messy but Black Bantam has included a notecard with instructions (screenshots etc) on how to do that. And she’s super friendly and willing to help you any further with it.
Good morning world! Back to work again today so I’m grumpy. It is Wednesday though and that makes me feel a lot better.
I had mentioned in one of my previous posts that I had been working on a project for the Holiday Issue of the Gallant Magazine. The magazine is released so now I can share it all with you. Well, not all, I only picked some of the pictures.
Mostly because some of the stuff in the pictures are still currently at events but also because the whole point is to read the magazine!
So, my project was to create a winter lodge. Divos provided some boards for me from pinterest with pictures that would inspire and motivate me. He also had the build ready. And a pretty big one!
At this point, I want to mention that this has been the very first time I worked on something that huge and demanding. The fact that Divos trusted me with this project, showed me faith and support meant a great deal. I felt that I had to do a great job and not let him down. But, working more than full time and taking on a project like this, can be challenging.
I had to sleep for only 3-4 hours every night in order to finish the decorations and as soon as that part was over, take the pictures. And you know I’m weird right? I changed the bedroom decoration twice and the bathroom’s and kitchen’s thrice. Yes. And I still don’t like them 100%!
I’m not saying all these to complain. Not at all. I knew what I was getting myself into. It was a stressful experience but which activity that involves a deadline, isn’t? I think the satisfaction I’ve gotten after everything was ready and all the nice and kind comments I received from many of you are worth it more. Plus, it’s one more experience. It helped me become more resourceful, creative and grow as a blogger.
Most of the items used in the pictures are fairly new or still currently at events, the Arcade and Fameshed.
Featured designers are Apple Fall, Hive, Dust Bunny, 22769, Soy, Consignment, Trompe Loeil and many more. Both the mentioned events are about to end soon though so you don’t have time all the time in the world. I would suggest visiting page 267 of the magazine for all the detailed credits. They took me a while to write down so you kind of have to read them.
The whole build is at the Gallant Estates sim which is now open to the public and will remain open until the 2nd of January. I would like to encourage you all to visit and see the works of other fellow bloggers and decorators there, take your pictures and tell me your opinion on everything, by leaving a comment below. I will include all the important SLUrls and links at the end of this post.
Last but not least, I want to thank Divos for his tremendous support and encouragement all this time. He’s a wonderful person and I’m lucky enough to call him a friend now. He’s pretty hot too! Big thanks to Julie and Alexa also, for offering me an ear to complain to and a providing me with a hug when I needed one. And big thanks to all of you for reading and supporting me for so long. I appreciate it a lot!

Good morning world. It’s going to be super hot in Athens today. According to the forecast, the temperature will reach 44C degrees (111F for the Americans) so if I don’t make it and the heat finally kills me, I would like to say that I love you all and that I leave all my millions of shoes to Julie. The rest of my items will be auctioned or something. Ok, jokes aside, It’s not new to us to get temperatures like this but it’s a too soon. I don’t even want to imagine what it’s going to be like in July.
Anyways, today’s post features a bunch of new and almost new stuff. The romper I’m wearing is from Addams, a mainstore release and super lovely. The hair is from tram, currently available at Uber and the sandals are from Friday, super cute, available in many colors at Kustom9. This certain look is definitely one of my favorites so far as it’s very summery and very close to my style in real as well.
The scene consists of a lot of things, all listed and credited below. A quick mention to some of them though is necessary.
The table, tableware and kitchen clutter are from [ keke ]. They were released in the previous round of Uber and being the terrible blogger that I am, I finally got to blog them today. Ugh! They are at the mainstore now so in case you missed them, drop by and check them out along with the other beautiful creations there.
The shelves and string hanging planter are from 22769 currently available in 3 different options at Shiny Shabby.
The rest of the items used are from HAIKEI, some of which I blogged here recently but I’m offering a different perspective today.
Have a look at the credits below for everything else used and for landmarks of each and every one of them.
That’s all for today folks. Have a great day and I’ll see you all next time.
Today’s post features the new stuff of HAIKEI from the current round of Kustom9 along with some older stuff of HAIKEI as well. This picture took a while to make as I didn’t like any of the set ups I was making, so I had to change it multiple times. I think the current one was my favorite or maybe I was too exhausted to bother anymore. The credits took even more to write down so now you have to read them all.
There are also some stuff from [ keke ] featured in the picture but I will soon post another picture where you will be able to see those better. The outfit I’m wearing is gacha from the Arcade which is about to end so make sure you don’t have anything left there that you wanted to buy. In case you didn’t know (I didn’t) some of the gachas for the Arcade rounds are event exclusives, to make the event more competitive. That means that after the event is over, the gachas are gone with it.
Last but not least, the hair is one of the newest releases TRUTH made, which I blogged here before but with a different styling. TRUTH has made so many gorgeous hairstyles lately that it’s hard to choose a favorite and also it’s hard to only show/wear/blog once.
That’s all for now peeps. Have a great one and I’ll see you all next time.
Good morning peeps. Do you remember my post where I was happy about the weather and how it’s always nice, warm and sunny? Well, forget it. I totally jinxed it – it’s like the universe read my post and said “no way lady, I’m gonna show you now”. It rained a lot last night and it’s pretty cold this morning. Weather is a huge factor on my mood swings and determines how easily I’ll get out of the bed in the morning. This morning has been a challenge.
Maybe that’s probably why I decided to cover up Lybra’s new release with this coat from COCO. The colors work together perfectly too – I love this blush color tone. The outfit is available for Maitreya only and hud driven (seperate hud for the bra) available now at Uber. Hair is new from Tableau Vivant, currently available at the Project Seven. There are two hairstyles for you to grab, this is the short and kind of elegant, one.
That’s all for now guys, I have to get ready for work. It’s really hard pretending to go to work with a smile every day, isn’t it? Hehe. Have a good day/night and be kind to one another.
As you have probably noticed, I have started to create my own scenes for my pictures. It’s been probably a month that I have been doing so and I’m enjoying it so much. I started to do that because I was experiencing issues at sims. Apart from the fact that I like my privacy when I’m working and usually at the sims I would go to, someone would photobomb my pictures, my computer and graphics card wouldn’t allow me to take snapshots on ultra graphics and would eventually make me crash constantly. So finally, my gacha machines obsession, found its purpose. Ever since I’ve been a SL resident, I would always play decor gacha machines, even if it was stuff that didn’t look interesting or necessary to me. I would collect random pieces from each machine and store, because “one day I might need them”. Then, as soon as the opportunity came, I would put them all together to make something beautiful. Hopefully, I have succeeded in most cases.
The process usually takes me a couple of hours. Depending on how big my scene is going to be, plus, how many items I’m featuring in one picture. But trust me, it feels so good. Kind of like a puzzle game where you’re given different items and you have to make them all look like they belong together. Makes you become resourceful and come up with ideas that you would have never thought about before. Plus, it helps you grow. I mean, if you’re a blogger, why not start to work with items out of your style too and challenge yourself with something new?
As soon as my scene is ready, I take a small break and then try to think about where I am going to be in it. My goal is consistency. If it’s a kitchen, you don’t want to be in a gown. If it’s a beach you don’t want to be in lingerie. If colors match too, would be perfect.
So, enough rambling for one night. This post features a bunch of new releases, mostly decor stuff. I know the list of credits is super long, but come on. Given the amount of time I spent to create this scene, plus, writing all credits down and linking them to urls, you owe me to at least have a look. He he!
Have a lovely day/night everyone and see you all next time.
Who doesn’t like magazines? Whether it’s fashion, lifestyle or you name it, magazines are definitely a huge part of our everyday lives. I recently read a very interesting article on the influence of magazines in the fashion industry. According to the author “the history of fashion magazines shows that fashion magazines have been linked to fashion in the early beginnings. It reflects that the driving force behind the growth of magazines, is fashion itself. Magazines have become an essential tool for keeping customers close as they pursue their decision journeys on the way to purchase”. It’s a theory that definitely applies on me. No matter how busy I might get daily, I will always find ten minutes to go through certain magazines, catch up with trends and fashion tips or just read about random celebrity gossip (makes me feel so good about myself afterwards, haha). Lately though, I usually do that online. Most magazines now are available online as well, which is something I’m not against, even though I do enjoy the old traditional way of reading them.
I had heard about magazines in SL as well, but never had the chance to read one before. I wasn’t sure where I could get one or even which ones they are. To be honest with you, I still don’t. When I was asked to make a picture for a new SL magazine I knew I couldn’t say no. You probably know well by now that I really enjoy challenges. Also, I really love the Annex. The store has well designed mesh with great attention to detail and the sizes are available for all popular female mesh bodies. Store has recently added lucky boards too so make sure you check them out.
The Second U magazine has been released only a few days ago by the lovely Beloved Rubyand her team. I had a conversation with her about it and here’s what you need to know. Originally, the magazine was planned to be published 4 times a year. However, many people have expressed their interest in seeing the magazine published a lot sooner. So there are discussions now about the possibility of publishing every two months. The best quality and content are their main goals so they would never risk losing that over quantity. The magazine will be published online only with subscriber kiosks in-world where everyone will be notified about each new release. You can also follow magazine’s social media and be up to date with everything related to it. Most importantly, when they say It’s All About You! – it means that every single Second Life Resident is part of this magazine. Your comments, thoughts, work, suggestions, will all be listened to and may be published in the magazine as well.
This picture is for the premier issue of the magazine, for the Annex store in page 10. You can now read the magazine online here:
Last but not least, I want to specially thank my friends Tyler De’Leon for his support, guidance and advice, Beuannaand the Annex store for their faith in me and my bestie, Jules for always being by my side and believing in me like noone ever has before.
