After the horrific last post I made, I needed to relax and make something that felt more familiar and more… me! Luckily I was given the opportunity to do so quickly. I have been dancing ever since I can remember myself so you can probably guess my enthusiasm when I saw the new releases at the Crossroads.
Dead Dollz sponsors the event and participates in collaboration with Astralia. Dead Dollz offers legwarmers, leggings, leotard and sweaters, all exclusively for Maitreya mesh body and available in many colors. Astralia offers a very cute skybox plus some decor for it, all gacha. Both releases are inspired by Fame. Don’t forget to grab the gift Dead Dollz also gives at the landing point, very cute for your gym’s decor. Have a look at the amazing video that has been released, featuring all items here.
Lybra sponsors and participates at the Project Seven event, with the Grunge Shirt. It is rigged mesh for Maitreya, Slink Physique/Hourglass and Belleza Isis/Freya, available in regular plain versions in 11 soft grungy color options but also printed ones as well. You can read more about it here.
That would be all for now, have a nice day/evening and remember to be kind to one another.
Among the new creations released in this round of On9, you will find a beautiful skybox made by the talented Victor Newchurch, available in 2 colors (red and white) and with land impact of 33 prims. Blogging a skybox is definitely quite interesting though. Personally I’ve never worked on skyboxes or houses before, I didn’t even own any land until only recently, so of course, I was challenged.
I had to ask a lot of people for their opinion on how they would blog a skybox, even the creator himself, only to realize there are no rules or preferences here. Just decorate it nicely and take a good picture in it. Being a perfectionist though made it hard for me. I knew I wouldn’t have any problem decorating it but showing the decor plus the whole skybox too, would be tricky. Multiple pictures is what I thought first. You can’t show it all in just one picture. Then I figured, people will be able to see they skybox in the vendor images NEWCHURCH took anyways, so let’s not stress about it too much. Be creative, try to showcase it nicely and have fun with it.
My main inspiration for this project had been the amazing gacha releases from Birdy for the Arcade. The idea was to create a boudoir and the beautiful release of the Secret Store for Collabor88 was the perfect fit for that. Adding to the whole decoration the creations by Glam Affair Home for the Chapter Four event plus Garbaggio decor from the Arcade too, made it all look just consistent and complete.
The skybox follows the industrial theme of this On9 round but that doesn’t mean you can’t be creative differently with it. I’ve mentioned before how decor is not my thing but I have so much fun with it. It’s incredibly time consuming, even the credits alone take a while to make, but when you’re done and look back at what you’ve made, feels amazing.
I think every blogger should step out of their comfort zone every once in a while, experiment, try new, different things and styles, and maybe they’ll be surprised. I know this has helped me grow and become better as a blogger for sure. I hope you all enjoy this. I know I did.
