So here I was editing this photo, trying to remove the sky and make it a nice blue-sky field landscape, when I accidentally hit “Calculate” in Photoshop and made my picture black and white. I’m probably known for oversaturating my images and making them colorful but oh man, I liked the B&W effect. I’m not sure if you will, since it’s completely different from what I usually make but there’s only one way to find out!
I’m showcasing the new Blueberry group gift today, celebrating 7 years of the Blueberry brand – happy anniversary Blueberry – along with some new stuff from the current round of Soiree!
Everything is listed below and it’s a short list for a change, so take a look and happy shopping!
Good morning world. Super glad it’s finally the weekend. I got a few plans but I’m feeling superstitious today, so I won’t share in case I jinx it. I will tell you all on Monday if everything goes as planned. Also I’m not supposed to ramble in the weekends so I’ll zip it now.
Have a look at the credits below, they’re not many. Also, before I forget, the exchange for the rare Genesis Lab Sofie/Flor/Ethan bento heads has begun, join their in-world group to find out how to trade your non copy versions for copy and omega compatible ones. Have a look here for more details as well.
On my Boudoir post I mentioned how challenging and interesting blogging a skybox is. Also, how time consuming! Clearly, I didn’t learn my lesson and had to challenge myself with something different this time. A whole house!
Yes, Cobble Hill Design Studio participates in this round of On9 with a quite big, very beautiful, American architecture house, with a land impact of 98 prims. I realize that blogging it properly would mean, decorating it inside and out, taking a series of pictures and showing them all, but I’m afraid that was not possible with the limited free time that I currently have. A couple of my next posts have been taken in this house though, so you will be able to see parts of the house, at least separately. You can always have a look at it at the event so you can also get a better idea of what it looks like as a whole.
I had a small conversation with the designer Blake Panache, as I was interested to know what motivates and inspires architecture designers like him. Interestingly enough, most of Blake’s creations are more American in origin and apart from architecture he has also designed some decor. He enjoys building the houses he always drove past as a kid that are now gone. Then finds a style and makes it like he would want to live in it. His mainstore is currently under construction but open for everyone to visit and shop.
The lovely dress I’m wearing is from Lybra and can be found at the Crossroads available in many colors. There is a color changing belt option hud but since I was feeling moody when I shot this picture, I decided to go all black. Lybra also offers a beautiful necklace as a gift for this round of the event, and we all love gifts, so don’t forget to get it. The tattoo is from Nanika for the Cosmetic Fair. Her designs, especially her most recent ones are just breathtaking.
That would be all for now, happy pre-TGIF to everyone and see you all next time. Until then, be good to one another and take care.
Who doesn’t like magazines? Whether it’s fashion, lifestyle or you name it, magazines are definitely a huge part of our everyday lives. I recently read a very interesting article on the influence of magazines in the fashion industry. According to the author “the history of fashion magazines shows that fashion magazines have been linked to fashion in the early beginnings. It reflects that the driving force behind the growth of magazines, is fashion itself. Magazines have become an essential tool for keeping customers close as they pursue their decision journeys on the way to purchase”. It’s a theory that definitely applies on me. No matter how busy I might get daily, I will always find ten minutes to go through certain magazines, catch up with trends and fashion tips or just read about random celebrity gossip (makes me feel so good about myself afterwards, haha). Lately though, I usually do that online. Most magazines now are available online as well, which is something I’m not against, even though I do enjoy the old traditional way of reading them.
I had heard about magazines in SL as well, but never had the chance to read one before. I wasn’t sure where I could get one or even which ones they are. To be honest with you, I still don’t. When I was asked to make a picture for a new SL magazine I knew I couldn’t say no. You probably know well by now that I really enjoy challenges. Also, I really love the Annex. The store has well designed mesh with great attention to detail and the sizes are available for all popular female mesh bodies. Store has recently added lucky boards too so make sure you check them out.
The Second U magazine has been released only a few days ago by the lovely Beloved Rubyand her team. I had a conversation with her about it and here’s what you need to know. Originally, the magazine was planned to be published 4 times a year. However, many people have expressed their interest in seeing the magazine published a lot sooner. So there are discussions now about the possibility of publishing every two months. The best quality and content are their main goals so they would never risk losing that over quantity. The magazine will be published online only with subscriber kiosks in-world where everyone will be notified about each new release. You can also follow magazine’s social media and be up to date with everything related to it. Most importantly, when they say It’s All About You! – it means that every single Second Life Resident is part of this magazine. Your comments, thoughts, work, suggestions, will all be listened to and may be published in the magazine as well.
This picture is for the premier issue of the magazine, for the Annex store in page 10. You can now read the magazine online here:
Last but not least, I want to specially thank my friends Tyler De’Leon for his support, guidance and advice, Beuannaand the Annex store for their faith in me and my bestie, Jules for always being by my side and believing in me like noone ever has before.
Is it me, or ever since Catwa released her new head, there are Megan Fox(es) all over SL? Well, I won’t be any different, as I happen to find Megan Fox is really a fox! This fact though, had me thinking a lot about originality on SL. How original can one be after all and for how long? Yes, the mesh heads/bodies/clothes are plenty but isn’t it a matter of time before someone wears it exactly the way you do or sometimes, even better? Frankly, I don’t see anything wrong with that. People can be inspired by everything and everyone and if I manage to inspire even one person only, my job is done. I’m happy with it.
Before I forget, the Makeover Room is about to close its doors. Event ends on the 25th so you still have time to go grab the goodies. All items in the event are discounted, until the event closes and they return to mainstore for normal price.
Also, Evolove participates in the Pose Lover & Friends Event with 3 “Dream” poses. Personally, I prefer working with unusual and unconventional poses, so Evolove is usually where I look first.
That’s all for today, hope you all have a great day!
Yes! It is true. I just posted my first restricted picture. Who would have known?! I mean, I knew I would eventually, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon! For those of you that are not on Flickr, restricted image, means, a picture that is filtered, so people who have set their content filter settings there as safe and non-moderate or non-restricted, they wouldn’t see it. Oh well, their loss.
This lingerie is from Erratic for the new round of Collabor88. The event is epic, it’s a birthday round and there are even more designers participating as guests. I can never resist to Erratic lingerie, or any lingerie, no matter the price or the level of naughtiness they bring. This particular design is definitely unique as you have pearls instead of straps or strings. And you have them, pearls, everywhere. And I mean, everywhere! Ha ha.
Once you make it in Collabor88, make sure you check out the new release of Genesis Lab too. Her name is Adeline and she’s gorgeous!
