It’s Halloween tomorrow and the end of the month. I don’t know about you but for me, this month felt like it had 100 days. So, I couldn’t be any happier that it is coming to an end. Plus, think of the bright side. The sooner it ends the sooner Christmas is here! And that’s always fun!
Good morning peeps! I need to share a few words with you about today’s post before I run off to work! It’s another Arcade post, meaning it features new releases from the current round of the Arcade and it’s safe to assume that the main featured brand is Bad Unicorn. If you’re not familiar with the brand already, you need to check out their flickr page for all their releases so far, they’re pretty cool! Always original ideas and very picturesque!
Their Arcade set is a Vault skybox along with several decor items and props, so as soon as I saw it and, being the roleplaying nerd that I am, I wanted to play with it. I had so many ideas in my mind on how I’d photograph this but here’s where I had a problem. First of all, I have this theory about blogging gacha sets, that you can’t just showcase one item out of 20. It’s not fair to the brand and also, what’s the point? You might as well just show people the set’s gacha key. Second of all, if you’ve been following my work all this time, you’ve probably noticed that I have a pattern.
I always work on my pictures thinking where is my light coming from. I need a window, a door or whatever that would be my light source. Then I can figure out the rest. If my light is coming from the left for example, then I know my shadows will be on the right. But what do you do when you have a skybox or no windows at all to work with? You need to work with projectors and prim lights. And this is how it can get messy!
I’ve been working on this set since last Thursday. I’ve changed the scene many times, my angle, my outfit, everything! I’m tired! I didn’t like any of the pictures I took. SO, I figured I have two choices. I’d either skip it and move on to my next project or I’ll just post what I came up with and at least respect the hours I spent working on it.
So there you go! Besides, I didn’t put my ass there by accident. I’m counting that at least some people, will enjoy that view! Hehe!
All the details can be found below so take a look and have fun gacha-ing!
Good morning world! I was off work for a couple of days so I had the chance to work on a few pictures this weekend. I feel exhausted but also happy. I had a lot of work to do and I think I’ve completed most of it. I will be participating in the Spring issue of Gallant magazine so stay tuned as it’s going to be pretty. I’m not quite sure when it’s going to be released but I’ll keep you posted. Also, I’ve seen who else is in it and they’re all wonderful!
So back to my pictures. I have mentioned before how of them get deleted eventually. It seems to be often the case. 9 out of 10 pictures I take end up in trash. I’ve been blogging for 2 years now (the anniversary was this month but not exactly sure when, ask Julie, she remembers stuff like that) and I’m still trying to find my niche. Do I like decor or fashion posts more? Which ones am I better at? Which ones do my readers prefer? I don’t think I’ll ever get the answers to these questions. And that’s alright, I don’t really want an answer. It’s enough for me that after 2 years I’m still growing and I’m still learning. Most importantly, I’m still enjoying this. I often complain about not getting enough sleep or feeling exhausted but I wouldn’t change it. I’m still addicted!
Speaking of comfort zones, I know well by now that I enjoy decor posts more than fashion. But with an avatar in them. I often stick to a certain style as it’s more convenient and easier to make. I happen to be blogging mostly for events and the way I see it, in order to cover as many new releases as possible, you have to do both. Coordinating your avatar within a decor scene is not an easy task. So many things you have to think about. What will you wear? Where will you sit. Will you sit or stand? Then, is everything still showcased clearly? They take me more time to make but once I’m done, I pat myself on the shoulder and go “good job”. Then of course, I stare at the pictures for too long, long enough, to hate and delete them in the end. But oh well. I’m confident I’ll reach to a point when everything will just get easier and faster. It has to!
So, enough rambling for one day. You can’t blame me, it’s been a while. Today’s post features more new stuff from the current round of Uber along with some other older releases. Take a look below for all the necessary deets and enjoy your shopping!
Hello world! Finally the week is over! Are you as excited as I am? I don’t have much to share with you today and frankly, I don’t really want to waste any more time on this, so I’ll let you check the credits quietly and get on with your schedules.
Hello hello! I’m very, very happy to say goodbye to November, Finally! I don’t know about you, but the past couple of months had been the busiest months of my life. Ever. RL and SL. I feel exhausted, I feel worn out, I feel burnt out (ok, was I dramatic enough?) and I was definitely looking forward to December arriving – not because it will be less busy necessarily, but come on! It just has to! And today I’m living the dream! “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and it is true! It’s still early to celebrate but I did wake up with a smile on my face today. Hope you as well!
Today’s post features more stuff from District 20. It’s a brand new monthly event which I blogged about here but in case you’re lazy like me and unwilling to go back to an older post of mine, here‘s their website with everything you need to know about it.
Good morning world and happy Sunday. It’s raining like there’s no tomorrow right now and I’m feeling a little blue. That is the expression, right? I will embrace this moody vibe this morning, enjoy my coffee and go bother somebody. Yes, that’s the thing to do when you’re feeling down. And yes, you’re lucky it’s the weekend and I can’t ramble. Otherwise I would bring you all down with me.
Have a great one and be kind to one another. I’ll see you all soon.
This is another collab with my friend Clary. We have been friends for a few months now and this is the second picture we make together. She’s a really cool lady, which calms me down as I’m usually tense and stressed all the time. I asked her to be classy and sexy for this photo shoot which was really not necessary – it comes out of her naturally.
For this picture I used Besom’s hair from N21 event. Rebel Gal’s dress and coat that can be found at Uber and Nanika’s tattoo for Sanarae. Glasses are from Zoom and poses are from Del May.
I’m not sure what Clary has on, as she did her own styling (apart from the hair, I know it’s by Truth) but you can always contact her and ask her.
That’s all for now folks. Have a nice day/night and be kind to one another.
The Chapter Four ends next week right before The Forest starts. Both events feature PUMEC. Pumec participates in this round of TCF with gacha goodies. Consists of mesh ears, appliers (rares and commons with preset make up on) and eyes. You can have a look at the gacha key here. Enjoy and good luck!
Yes, Forever, because this is how long some days feel. Isn’t it totally unfair that time passes so fast when you’re having a great time and the exact opposite happens when you’re not? Some days at work, I’m staring at the clock on the wall, thinking that if I had any super powers, time control or anything to get me out of here, now it would be the perfect time to come out! However, it is Friday – TGIF – so I’ll stop whining, go to work (although I’m pretty sure I’m working tomorrow as well) and think of new ways to control time. Or what other cool super powers I’d love to have. Meanwhile, On9 opens today and I wanted to show you all some of the new releases. It is a holiday round which means you get event exclusives plus gifts from the designers. Group join is required but it is free. Type On9 Fan Club in group search and knock yourselves out.
The dress and fur I’m wearing are from Ana Markova, available in many colors and for Belleza, Maitreya, Slink and TMP mesh bodies. You can also wear the fur in two different ways, either on your shoulders – sort of like a cape, or the normal way – like a jacket. Have a look at it here. The shoes are also new from Garbaggio, and as always, in many different colors to meet your needs. Bracelets are new from Kunglers available in 3 different options.
Now to the rest of the stuff. The skin applier is by PUMEC and comes from her Chapter Four gacha. A pretty big gacha for sure. You can get skin appliers (clean versions) as rares or make up huds, ears and eyes for commons. You can have a look at the gacha key here. Tattoo is also gacha from Nanika for the Liaision Collaborative. As always, she never disappoints. This is her gacha key.
Last but not least, Limit 8 has opened yesterday, which features exclusives from your favorite designers but limited in limited copies (I believe 200). That means that as soon as the copies run out, they won’t be available for sale any more. Two of the designers participating are Dead Dollz and Astralia. They collaborated with the gloves/nails I’m wearing. So if you’re interested, you have to hurry!
That would be all for now. Have a nice day/night everyone and a wonderful weekend. I’ll see you all next time.
You’ve probably noticed that it has been a very productive week for me. No, nothing’s changed, I’m still busy with work and everything in RL and my life is still a mess, but I’m planning on leaving in a couple of days so I had to hurry up and show you all some stuff before I leave. I’m going to Paris on Friday. God knows when it was the last time I was on vacation, I have been working non-stop for so long, I don’t even remember what it’s like to just sit down and do nothing. It’s not going to be a long hiatus, but hey, it’s Paris, so I can’t complain.
So, back to the stuff! One of the new releases I wanted you all to see, is the new skin applier from itGirls. I’ve recently started to work with Annie Jolifaunt, owner and designer of itGirls and you have to take my word for it: She’s a wonderful person! We’ve chatted for a while and had so much fun getting to know each other. It’s always amazing to see great and talented designers like her, being so humble and down-to-earth. Anyways, she released a new skin applier for Catwa heads, named Cleo and available in 5 tones. She has a store in-world but you can also check out demos and make purchases through the marketplace. Check credits below for more landmarks and urls and the second picture for a better close-up peek.
The look I was going for in this picture was inspired by the Red Light District in Amsterdam. I figured I needed a display and sexy lingerie. Luckily Lybra took care of that with her new release at ROMP event. Bras and panties, available in 12 different colors and for Maitreya mesh body only. The fur is from Coco and the skirt is from Fawny for her Epiphany gacha release.
That’s all for now lovely people, have a nice day/night and see you all next time!
