Pastel shades of sunlight

Good morning world! It’s Monday which the day I’m the most grumpy, however, this is not the case today, because I have the day off! You get to see the happy, relaxed and calm me today, not worrying about what to wear to work or being late. Thus, I’ll take my time to tell you about the stuff today but also the fun night I had on Saturday at the Bloggies. And I’ll start with the latter. Just a warning though, coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, so there’s a chance the following sentences won’t make any sense!

The Bloggies gala was last Saturday and I got to see most of the people I follow on Flickr everyday, all gathered together in a room, looking fancy and fabulous. I was nominated for a few categories and I won a couple of them, yay, but that’s not even the point. The point was participation. I often debate in my mind, whether Bloggers in SL are really a community or not; yes, I can get insecure like that, but it’s the people you know and you’re probably friends with, whose work you aspire to, that remind me how big this community can be. I’m glad that I attended and so many other people did as well.

Kess and Dylan created a wonderful ceremony to honour all the people in the blogging community, nominated or not, and the result was great. The event didn’t last long, so I didn’t have to finish the whole bottle of wine I had here with me but it was followed by a party, so what do you know, wine was gone. I may have been drunk enough to say a few things out loud, that I probably shouldn’t have, but hey, don’t judge me!
