Vintage velvet

The day went by pretty smoothly today. Even though I spent most of it Skyping with Jules, I managed to get a lot of work done. That feeling of completion makes me feel great. You know what I’m talking about. That moment when you finally finish something you’ve been working on, lean back and say to yourself “I did it”. To be completely honest with you, I was in a hurry today. I wanted to get everything done and leave only a few tasks for tomorrow, as it’s a bank holiday on Monday in Greece and I want to make it an extra long weekend.

I have no specific plans yet, but even the idea of not working for three days is enough to make me happy. Although, it’s me we’re talking about. I’m pretty sure I’ll end up spending it in bed (which is okay, I need to catch up on my sleep) and then take a lot of pictures on SL. But oh well. We shall see.

It’s almost midnight for me though, so let’s get to today’s post which features a bunch of new stuff. Let’s start with the gown I have on, which is by Lybra and currently available at Shiny Shabby. Did you know Lybra updated her color huds? Yes, you get more options now. She’s also rebuilding her mainstore but it’s not ready yet. At the same event you can check the new gacha from PUMEC. It consists of skin appliers for Catwa heads (rare & commons), mesh ears and mesh eyes. Now if you’re an attention freak like me, you probably noticed that my skin, eyes and ears are different than the ones on the close up picture. Yes, check again. Now, I want to say I did that on purpose, but I’m afraid that’s a lie. Truth is I got so excited with the skin applier (pretty much same way I react every time I try a new applier on my mesh/bento heads), I completely forgot about the rest of the items in the gacha.

The skin appliers come with a shape as well, but for this one I tried something different. This is Catwa’s Catya head but on Catwa’s Kimberly default shape. Looks pretty cute, right? Anyways, you can have a better look at the gacha key here. The hairbase I have on is from Tableau Vivant, currently available at the Enchantment. Hair is also by Tableau Vivant, but at Kustom9. I know, you have a lot of teleporting to do.

And of course the scene I created is from THOR’s new release for Collabor88. I have mentioned before how much I love THOR’s work and how he never stops to amaze me. He has a certain style in his creations that just agrees with me. From this set, I pick the book of fairy tales as my favorite – It’s the one behind the tea, on the table. It has butterflies coming out of it. I mean, Come On!
