Back in Memphis

Those who follow my posts, probably remember that I have OCD. I also have a sick obsession with detail and small things that other people might find unimportant or irrelevant. For example, I will always notice if the frames on a wall are straightened, I will never put a coffee mug or a glass on the table without a coaster underneath or if you open my closet, you’ll see my clothes, all tidy and properly organized, according to color. Why it’s actually weird why I can’t seem to organize my inventory, which couldn’t be messier. I do enjoy being a mess every now and then though. Makes me feel like a complete rebel!

I posted on Plurk on Sunday, asking advice on how I can make the textures on objects stop refreshing every 5 seconds. It’s been a month now that I’ve been experiencing this issue. This post gave me a hard time, for that reason exactly. I rezzed the objects, decorated and made the scene. I dressed myself up and prepared to take the picture, only to realize, once again, that some objects on the picture were blurry. Each item was refresing, one after the other, making it impossible for me to take one picture alone. I contacted almost everyone I know on SL, showing them a gyazo of it, asking what could be wrong. I even had the lovely Reina Spencer come over and check my frames per second. Most possible scenario, my graphics card is dying. Apparently I had too much stuff in my platform plus on my screen (huds etc.) making it hard for my graphics card to “read” them all and inevitably forcing them to refresh constantly. I don’t know if that makes sense, but derezzing and detouching some things helped. But you can guess my reaction when I took the picture, saw it and found out that most of the things in it were blurry and not completely rezzed. Has been a huge test on my OCD.

I am stubborn though and I don’t give up easily. So after 1.000 curses, 3 cups of coffee and 4 hours of sleep deprivation, I managed to take the picture. I really wanted to, as it features the new creations from THOR at the Cosmopolitan event. Beautiful designs as always, so I wanted you all to see them. Post’s title is also inspired by one of the items you will see on the table. The skin applier I’m wearing is also new from PUMEC and currently at the Coven. It’s for Catwa heads only and there are a bunch of skin tones for you to choose from.

Happy shopping peeps!

That’s all for now. Have a lovely day/night and be kind to one another.

More details about the gacha

(from THOR’S notecard that is included in the set)

“This gacha set is composed by 18 items (for the complete setup), all modifiable and all transferable.
– Lamps with script that allows turning on and off the light. They have a menu for features: hold the click on for 5 seconds to open it, or just change the notecard inside to have a different setup about light/glow/color etc by default.
– The sofa and the stool have animations poses (two for the sofa, single for the stool)
– The stove and the trunk have a menu to open/close them.
– The turn table has a tri-touch system, so: touching the plexyglass it open and close, touching the long play it starts to turn on or off, touching the little arm it has an animation so it goes on the long play.
At last, touching the wood part, you can listen an entire song.
It is modifiable, so you can add your music too, just looking inside as any split of music is called (before the name-after the series number-at last the exact timing).
It will recognize the song directly and will put in the menu, giving the choice to listen to it (even many songs).”
